Terms of Service
Effective
These Terms of Service cover PaySquatch Counter and its operator console, operated by PaySquatch in the United States. Our public website is paysquatch.com. These terms explain the responsibilities of participating stores and their staff when using the service. By using PaySquatch Counter, you agree to these terms.
1. What the service does
PaySquatch Counter is a point-of-sale web application. It lets participating retail stores accept cash payments for prepaid wireless top-ups and send them to the carrier through a payment processor, Paymaster. Customers make their cash payments at the store.
The service records transaction details and payment outcomes, supports receipt printing and helps stores reconcile cash at the end of the day. The payment processor and carrier are involved in completing a top-up. Submitting a request is not, by itself, confirmation that the top-up has been applied.
2. Who may use it
Access to PaySquatch Counter is for participating stores and their authorised staff, including operators and store owners. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for the store or operation whose account you use. Customers pay at the store rather than signing in as staff.
Sign in with Google is a staff sign-in method. A Google account alone does not grant access. Staff must be on our allowlist. Do not use another person's account or attempt to gain access to a store or staff role you are not authorised to use.
3. Accounts and staff responsibilities
Stores are responsible for keeping their store and staff account details accurate and making sure their staff are authorised to use the service. Keep credentials private. Do not share passwords or let another person operate under your identity. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or compromised credentials.
Sign-ins and staff actions are logged. Use your own authorised account so that audit records accurately identify the person taking an action. Store owners should notify us when a staff member no longer needs access. Removing a staff member from the allowlist ends sign-in.
Our Privacy Policy explains the account, transaction and technical information we handle, including Google sign-in information and audit records.
4. Payments, phone numbers and returns
Prepaid top-ups are applied to the mobile phone number entered. The store is responsible for confirming that number with the customer before submitting the transaction. Staff should also check the carrier, selected product and amount with the customer. A typing error can send a top-up to the wrong number.
Review the recorded payment outcome before telling the customer that a top-up is complete. If the outcome is unclear, investigate it before submitting another payment. Keep the receipt and processor reference available for reconciliation and any later payment question or dispute.
Refunds and returns are handled under the store's cash-return procedure and the carrier's rules. A request for a refund does not guarantee that an applied top-up can be reversed. Customers should raise payment or return questions with the store where they paid. Stores can contact PaySquatch about service-related transaction questions.
5. Acceptable use
Use the service only for lawful, authorised store activity. Do not commit fraud, submit false transaction information, misuse customer phone numbers or conceal who performed an action. Do not attempt unauthorised access to accounts, records or systems.
Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, introduce harmful software or disrupt other stores' use. Report suspected errors or security problems to us rather than attempting to exploit them.
6. Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Network problems, maintenance and payment processor or carrier issues may affect availability or completion times. Sales may be paused when the service cannot safely or reliably process them. Stores should check the status of affected transactions before resuming or repeating a sale.
7. Intellectual property
PaySquatch and its licensors retain rights in the service's software, branding and content. These terms allow participating stores and authorised staff to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership or give permission to copy, resell or distribute the software or use PaySquatch branding without permission.
8. Warranties and liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as available, without promises that it will meet every business need, always be accurate or always work without interruption. We do not give implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, PaySquatch is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business opportunities or losses caused by business interruption. We are not responsible for losses caused by an incorrectly entered phone number, unauthorised credential sharing or a carrier's handling of a top-up, except where the law makes us responsible. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for misuse, unauthorised activity, a breach of these terms or when a store or staff member is no longer eligible. You may stop using the service at any time. Ending access does not erase existing transaction obligations or records retained under our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes, governing law and contact
We will post changes to these terms on this page with a new effective date. Review the current terms when you use the service. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
